1. Machine wash cold with like colors

Product FAQ’s

Yes, socks purchased from Doctor’s Choice are eligible for reimbursement with a flexible spending account (FSA), but potentially also a health savings account (HSA) or a health reimbursement arrangement (HRA). Please check with your provider for details.

Diabetic socks and compression socks are not covered by Medicare. While Medicare Part B does cover 80% of the costs of therapeutic shoes or inserts for people suffering from a range of ailments, they do not cover the cost of diabetic or compression socks.

“Seamless toe” socks are designed without a seam inside the end of a sock that might bunch, rub, or irritate sensitive toes. There is still an area at the toe that has to be closed but it is done by looping instead of seaming and is incredibly smooth.

Prior to knitting the sock, a light coating of aloe gel is introduced into the polyester yarns of the Doctor’s Choice Diabetes-Neuropathy socks.  Aloe is a natural emollient and helps skin retain moisture.  It is an ideal additive for those wearers who suffer from blisters, sores, cracks, or ulcers on their feet.

Graduated compression socks help promote circulation in your legs. In your leg veins, blood must flow upward to the heart. Graduated compression socks apply a certain amount of pressure near your ankle and then apply gradually less and less as they move up the leg.

mmHg is the measurement of compression levels or the amount of pressure applied to your legs, which is measured in millimeters of mercury (mmHg). The larger the number, the higher the level of compression. Depending upon a wearer’s ailment, a doctor may prescribe a sock or stocking with differing levels of compression. Please check with your medical provider for more information.

Well-fitting, graduated compression socks are safe to wear all day, if worn properly. A wearer who suffers from venous insufficiency like varicose veins, can see improvement in pain and swelling over time.  For someone who encounters cold feet, it is advisable to wear compression socks to bed as the increased circulation will warm your toes.  Most physicians recommend taking a break from wearing compression socks for a few hours every day.  If there is ever a concern, to be safe, discontinue wear of any socks that cause pain or discomfort. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding your specific medical condition.

A non-binding top is an easy- stretch, loosely knit sock leg that expands easily so as not to constrict circulation.  In spite of a loosely knit leg, there is elastic knit in throughout, which helps keep the sock up on the leg.
